So today, in honour of SHINee’s first anniversary, I’ll tell you a little story of my history with the group. I know I have a tendency to ramble though so I’ll try to keep things succinct. ^^

YAY, the video’s out!

Okay, I’ve only watched it once so far but I’m seriously laughing at their hairstyles (OMG, Jong has like a mini-mohawk and I don’t even want to start with Onew) and their clothes are….questionable at best but who cares about all that because the Juliette MV is out and it is SMOKING, you guys! Not gonna lie – I really like it. It’s sleek and bright and the boys look great regardless of everything working against them and the more I watch the dance moves, the more impressed I get. I really like the dance, especially during the chorus and towards the end – it’s shaping up quite nicely, I’ve gotta say. This makes me even more excited for their performances now – although let’s hope Jong’s not rocking the hawk for them, although that does not stop him from looking fine, of course.
Also, why does MinHo always get to play the lead? Do they think he’s the least popular or something so if they stick him with a bunch of different girls, nobody will care? Because that is most definitely not the case. Ah, but I won’t complain – I much rather see MinHo cozying up to some girl (although he’s doing nothing of the sort here) than Jonghyun or Onew, that’’s for sure. Oh, and Taemin’s hair actually looks good, you guys! I’m shocked. But of course, Tae’s just cool like that.

Oh, and I heard that today’s the anniversary of the release of the Noona nomu yeppeo MV – yay for anniversaries! Congrats, boys!

So you may or may not know this but Onew had an accident yesterday – apparently he fell down the stairs in front of SHINee’s dorm and dislocated his incisors and the treatment for it will last for about one to two weeks and as such, the boys’ comeback has been pushed back. New dates haven’t been given for their comeback performances yet (naturally) but the mini-album release has been pushed back to the 25th a.k.a. SHINee’s first anniversary. Subsequently Yesasia has pushed back their release date to the 27th - go pre-order it now!

Guess what day it is today? It’s May 15th – Sunny’s birthday! You may not know this but Sunny is one of my favourite members of SNSD – she’s just so bright and happy and cheerful – she really deserves that name, Sunny. She’s truly an aegyo queen and it never looks forced or get annoying – she’s the pep in SNSD’s step and although I think she’s a bit underrated within the group, I know that as time goes by, more and more people will be charmed by her kind, sincere and thoughtful ways. And she’s not just great for aegyo, she’s really smart and well-spoken as well – she doesn’t get a chance to talk that often but when she does, you’d be surprised by the things she says. I’m quite fond of this little shorty (like me!)
Anyway, I wish you a happy birthday, Sunny. I hope that you continue to grow as a singer, a musician, an entertainer and a person. Never lose your spark and your life – continue to bring joy and sunshine into the lives of those around you. Know that you’re loved and appreciated and grow only wiser and stronger as the years go by. I hope you enjoyed today, your 21st birthday and I hope you get to celebrate it not only with your eight sisters but with your family as well. You’ll always be a bright spot in my life. ♥ Happy birthday!

May 16, 2009So Kyuhyun and Sungmin were on a show called ‘Love’s Family’ recently where they went to a home and took care of disabled kids and oh, it’s really sweet. I just watched it – subs courtesy of sjsubs09 – and I was just bowled over. Sungmin and Kyu were adorable, of course – Min obviously knows what he’s doing and Kyu, for as awkward as he was at the beginning, he really got the hang of it at the end and they really seemed to enjoy themselves with the kids but I don’t know – just seeing them doing that moved me. I mean, I’ve seen celebrities do volunteer and charity work before but this is the first time that I really looked at them and thought ‘man, I should be doing something like that’. But I guess that’s the point, right?
Anyway, go watch the show and when you’re done, remember to tell the sjsubs staff how awesome they are for subbing this – and so quickly too!

The “It’s You MV is out!!!!
May 12, 2009Here it is!!! EDIT: I changed the video to the official one, btw – turns out the one I posted before was the leaked version, my bad. Anyway, it’s really not that different – it just has some longer solo shots and a few added scenes as well as added effects in the dance portion. The effects are a little distracting but other than that, it’s okay – still a fantastic video.

So as you may know We Got Married’s changed their format once again and they booted off all of the couples who were currently on the show, including, of course, the couple that got me watching the show consistently – Kangin and Yoonji. Hmm, I’m not going to talk about whether they were better or worse than the older couples because I didn’t watch the older couples save in episode one – the point is I decided to check out KangJi on a whim to see what they’d be like and I ended up finding them super-adorable and so sweet and shy around one another that I almost wished they were dating in real life. (Okay, well I did but now I’ve changed my mind.)

OMG, THEY CUT THEIR HAIR!!!!!!!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!! OH, you guys – SHINee got haircuts! And do you know what this means? Do you? Well, I’ll tell you – it means – THAT THE COMEBACK TIME IS APPROACHING! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! Haha, okay, so I knew that people have been saying that their new mini-album would be released on the 19th due to a particular Cyworld post but I didn’t want to get my hopes up until we got some official word from SME BUT this is almost as good – I mean, everyone knows that people start changing up their look once they have to make a comeback and the boys didn’t just cut their hair, they dyed it and stuff too! So I am very excited right now – very excited.
