So since I treated you to a bit of my ever so blatant bias in my last post and since I’ve been doing an extremely sucky job of updating this blog lately, I’ve decided to condense my spazz about a number of different SHINee videos into this one post – so I guess you can call this one ‘updates, part 4′? Anyways, definitely check out some (or preferably all) of the videos I mention here and most of all, enjoy. Let’s get started, eh?

OMGAH, JONG!

February 7, 2009

Okay, okay, I’m sorry for the bias but I just watched this fancam and it totally reminded me why I love this kid. Watch it, watch it, look here!

OMG, dude, I spent half my time watching this video spazzing and the other half laughing my butt off. This boy is so random and weird sometimes and never more so than when they’re singing this song (Love Should Go On). LOL, if I didn’t already like it, I’d watch the performances just for him. 2:17 – 2:30 are particularly memorable moments. OMG, I love how one minute he’s making all these random gestures and totally feeling the song (I’ve never seen someone so into his own song!) and then as soon as it’s time for him to sing, he gets all serious and starts belting things out. Ahhhh, and it’s like freezing too – this fancam was taken on New Years’ Eve at that Gayo Daejun they performed at – and his hands are so red and you can see his breath and at first I was just staring at him like “OMG, why aren’t you inside? Where it’s significantly warmer! Or at least wearing gloves?” But then he started acting silly and I totally forgot. But really though, why weren’t they wearing gloves?

Ah, I dunno – just watch this video. It’s the middle of the night and I should be in bed but I had to rec this first. It’s too cute to miss. Later.

Just a Friendly Reminder!

February 5, 2009

Yo yo yo, all you SHINee fans out there. Just in case you didn’t know today is the deadline to submit your entry in SHINee Forums’s special Jonghyun birthday booklet – you just take or get a picture of a random object (not a picture of you or of SHINee or of Jonghyun) that reminds you of Bling and then you post that along with a short message explaining why you chose that item and wishing happy birthday and so on. It’s actually quite nice – people come up with some really interesting objects! – and I think this is the first time that they’ve done a booklet just for a specific member so you know it’ll be memorable.

Anyway, if you want to participate, this will take you to the official thread. If you’re a member, then just go to the first page, read the rules, then post and if you’re not a member, you’ll have to join first – but it’s totally worth it! SFI is the best and most organized place to get all your SHINee info, news, pictures, videos, etc. So go and participate! Quick!

XD I actually did mine on Tuesday – did not leave it to the last minute for once. Yay!

Waaaaaaaaaaah…

February 5, 2009

I’m tired. And I really don’t feel like posting these days, even though I’ve got this essay long Key post that I want to write. So sorry about the lack of updates – right now I’m just puttering around online catching up on dramas and Family Outing episodes while the boys are away. My eyes are also burning me a lot because of the amount of time I spend online so I’m trying (I am?) well, I plan to try to cut back a bit. Will try to have that Key post up by the end of the week though – the universe was totally telling me to write it today too because at work, I just kept seeing the word ‘key’ all over the place. I would look at documents and the first word my eyes would fall on is Key – it was very odd.

Anyway, I’ll leave you with a song I’m digging right now – the new FTTS song, Throwing You Away. I don’t know them really but I want to check them out after hearing this – this song is just beautiful. Hope the rest of their album is like this. Will make me a very happy camper.

Hmm, and this video I came across thanks to Youtube’s suggested videos:

It’s a fancam taken during the 2007 MKMF Award Show where Hyoyeon from SNSD and Stephanie from CSJH the Grace do a dance number to the instrumental that SHINee World was created from (relax, it’s not a remake – SME owned the rights to the music anyway and they just made a song for SHINee from it) and then SNSD performs my favourite song f theirs before the Gee mini-album was released, Girls’ Generation. Both of them are really great here and I was quite pleased to see them showcase Hyoyeon’s skills at such a major forum. Stephanie’s part is shorter but I suppose since SNSd were newer, they wanted to showcase Hyoyeon a bit more. Totally understandable. Anyway, it’s very cool and pretty short – just about a minute – so I suggest you check it out. It’s a good watch. ^^

So I’m sorry for being utterly lame and boring. I’m just tired, is all. All I want to do these days is sleep. I’m sorry. Will try to stop sucking in future.

I like you…just the way you are!

February 4, 2009

So I’m listening to a little bit of J-pop on the side these days and I recently checked out Koda Kumi’s new album, TRICK because I listened to her ’stay with me’ winter single (also on this album) and really liked it – and I actually liked this album more. I’m thinking about buying it. Well, I’m not really into J-pop so other than her name, I didn’t know much about her beforehand but I think this album is a good starting point. Hmm, I won’t say any more since I’m thinking about doing an album review of it but I’d definitely suggest you check it out. She runs through a number of styles in it – pop, rock, hip hop, etc. and you’ll probably find at least one song you like. So for the mean time, I’ll just leave you with my personal favourite and what I consider to be the best song (because my favourite MUST be the best song, claro) on the album, Just the Way You Are.

She even released a video for it! I’m happy – it really is a great song and she looks lovely in the video and it’s pretty fitting for the song, if a little awkward at times. Anyway, I’m really digging her red plaid outfit.

Well, I hope you like it. Enjoy!
