So I was wondering why the boys were so smiley during their Good -Bye stage on Music Core…I think I just found out the reason.

For all the non-Korean speakers like me, the chant at the beginning is ‘KiDaRilKe, SaRangHae’ – “We will be waiting for you, We Love You.” Oh, SHINee World…you guys are too awesome. Those are my sentiments exactly.
I’m very happy about this – SHINee World are doing a great job of showing their support for the boys and I’m glad to have them representing for international fans like me who aren’t able to express our love for SHINee quite as vocally. Thank you, Korean SW! Keep up the good work!
Oh, and on an unrelated note, I listened to a new KARA song today – their possible next single (yay – no more Pretty Girl!) – and I actually liked it! It has a nice sound and another repetitive but catchy chorus and no unnecessary English this time and I also think that the girls’ voices blend together really nicely. So give it a listen, okay? Honey.
So the MBC New Year special of Dance Battle, featuring some of K-pop’s hottest talents (my words, not their’s) aired on the 25th in Korea and some of the videos are already up on YT. I’ve only seen about six or seven cuts so far but I gotta say it’s looking pretty good – if had thought about it, I would have watched it live since I was up then anyway but I forgot. Anyway, I’m no dancer so I can’t really say whose performance was the BEST but I can tell you whose dancing made the most of an impression on me. I’ll give you my top 3 and then I’ll just talk about the others.
So since the boys are going on break, I’ve started paying attention to more people in an effort to find some folks to check out while they’re away. Here’s some of the people I’ve been keeping tabs on and my thoughts on them so far.
So I couldn’t NOT post about the good-bye stages, right? I didn’t post about the Music Bank one yesterday because I wanted to do them together so here goes…
So since it has officially been confirmed that SHINee are about to go on hiatus – their next Music Bank and Music Core performances will be good-bye stages – I wanted to do a post to commemorate this. (Because I’m weird and I fangirl them too much and am incredibly bummed that they’re going even though I’ve been begging for them to have a break forever.) I’m happy that they’re getting a break though and once I adjust to not seeing them regularly, I’ll start getting excited for their comeback but for now, just let me wallow.
So since I wanted to write something sensible instead of just going “Whyyyyyyyyy? Why are they taking my boys away from me? Who’s going to cheer me up now?! The world is a cold, cold, place and SHINee was my sunshine” and generally behaving strangely and like I should be in the loony bin, I figured I’d do a post about how much the boys have changed since they debuted. It’s been about eight months now and I’ve known them for seven, been regularly following their activities for six so I think maybe I can talk a little bit about it. But feel free to disagree.
Sorry, sorry! I’m sorry – I was online all day today and totally had post ideas and I didn’t do either of them! I will though – I’m really sorry! In the mean time, check out this video. It’s the song rec of the day.

All I have to do say is thank goodness May Doni debuted when she did otherwise I would never have heard this song! It’s a really good dance track and I really don’t understand how it didn’t become a hit – May Doni’s got a serious set of lungs on her and the rapping is the perfect compliment (Lol, I’m talking like this is her song). I’m seriously addicted to this song right now and I totally suggest checking out May Doni’s actual debut song, Molla-ing. It’s not half as infectious as this one but I really like it – her vocals are so sweet and smooth there. I’m going to check out her mini-album soon. I wouldn’t suggest taking the MV too seriously though – it’s super weird and more than a little creepy. Oh, and the kid can really dance too!
So I was bored earlier (bored? there are so many things I could have been doing!) and I started watching some old videos and I put on Replay and I had such a blast watching it that I ended up ~replay~ing it about four or five times.

Hmm, I think I might have said this before but I miss the Replay days. I miss the boys’ cute image. I mean, I know they haven’t that much and I really like Amigo and I loved LLO but I think they could have continued going the cute route for a little bit longer. I just miss how cute and young and fresh and awkward they were, how they were always bushy-tailed and bright eyed about everything, how they always looked happy and excited and eager and NOT tired, how they did a million interviews a week (I really miss that!) and I even miss their too bright clothing and matching graphic print tees. Hmm, I don’t know what to say…I guess I’m just feeling nostalgic. I know I’m just being silly – after all, everything changes and the cute thing would have gotten old after awhile but I just can’t help how I’m feeling.
Those earrings that he’s pointing to are part of the last batch of gifts that SHINee Forums sent to the boys in their last SHINee project and while we saw Taeminnie wearing one of the hoodies that was sent, Jonghyun’s taking the ‘fan service’ (LOL) to another level by wearing these basically all the time these days and even showing them off back stage. So you see, these projects have results~ Now don’t you feel like taking part? Right now, we’re working on both Jonghyun’s birthday project and the SHINeeversary project – come on, it’s the boys’ first anniversary as a group – so you know it’s going to be really special. So join, join, join!
So there I was, puttering around the net when I decided to pop into SHINee Forums to see if there was anything of note to see – pictures or news or so on – and what do I see but news about a new song?!
